rear window tint

OK so I recently had my windows tinted with 50% solargard high performance charcoal all around (50% is the legal limit where I live). Anyways, at the top of the back window where the dots are it looks like shit. Anybody got any advice? Should I go back to the shop and complain? Cos it has a lifetime warranty. I read on the boards about putting black vinyl on it? Is that for before or after tint? (meaning under the tint or on top of the tint). Thanks.

black vinyl goes on the outside part of the glass covering the dots.

Ohhh I see. On the outside of the car then? Does it look OK? Did you have it done? Any pics? What kind of shop do I go to to have it done?

the stupid shop will tell you there is nothin they can do, but any good shop can tint it and it shoudl come out perfect. NO VINYL!!!!!!!!!mine did and evey1 else i know. thats why always tell ppl to offer the place little extra $$$$ to treat it like it was theirs.

yeah the top of mine sucks too, I complained and they said they could do it over for free if I wanted, but it will just do the same thing. They said the dots are called matrix and it's nearly imposssible to get the tint to settle right. Wish they told me that first.

I agree with VXCL. I got mine done, paid a lot for it, but they came out perfect. I don't have to worry about the dots and I got a lifetime warranty also. Any reputable shop should be able to do without complaints.
