Rear upper control arms when lowering

Hey guys, I just bought a manual 97 CL with the 2.2 with surprising only 160,000 miles on it and eventually I’m gonna lower it. I already see the recommendations for Eibachs and Tokicos. However I’m wondering if when I lower the rear, will the upper control arms that sit right over the tire be an issue? Sorry if it sounds stupid but will it potentially sit closer to the tire and maybe hit it over bumps? Thank you in advance for your help. Hope everyone has a nice day.

No, it won't hit. The knuckle and upper control arm move with the suspension, so hitting a bump won't cause the wheel or tire to make contact with it.

You just have to be mindful of it when fitting larger wheels and tires. If they're too wide, or the overall diameter of the tire is too large, then it could make contact.
