rear camber kit question
rear camber kit question
I have the sportlines on right now. Do I need to buy a rear camber kit, or can a shop adjust the rear camber without one? The camber is not off my much on my rears. Any info would be appreciated.
yeah, a shop can use washers to get your rear camber within specs...i'm slammed and thats what i have done, and its within specs. Camber kits are a must in the front if the car is really low (like with your sportlines)
there is no camber adj for the rears...........you can put washers inbetween the where the shocks mount to the side of the car. otherwise...its just toe adj on the back. BUt with your suspension youll be fine in the back. ive got the same and mine is fine......even the guy at the tire place said im really close...so dont worry about it...................
You can washer or shim out the upper control arm that connects to the wishbone. Mine are washered out and im close to a 3" drop. I usually would worry more about the front camber then the rear. Many people leave the camber negative in the rear for cornering.
thanks for the replies guys. I finally ordered my front camber kit. Ingalls 1 1/4 - 3. I've been riding with messed up camber for way too long. My third set of front tires in 2 years. You think certain tire places can stick my camber kit in there while swapping my tires? If so, I'd rather kill two birds with one stone. The weather's been sucking lately....not a job I wanna be doing anytime soon.
