is there any aftermarket bushings for the lower rear control arm that would fit in easier?

You either have to hammer it in or press it in. Both of my rear lower strut bolt snapped. I tried to hammer it in, but found it difficult getting the initial part in and aligned. Instead I used a socket the same size as the outer metal part of the brushing and used bench-vise (pictured below) to press it in. It was fairly easy using some multipurpose grease. You might be able to use a C-clamp or something similar as well.

If you have already gotten one side in but not the other, you may have a defective bushing. Just exchange it at the place you got it from.

If you are trying to push it in by hand, you are going to get nowhere fast.

Good luck.

alright.. so i tired the socket and the c clamp and its not going in.. no matter hard i tightened it, it wouldn't go in..

so now i think im gonna take the whole knuckle out so its alot easier to access and slide the new bushing in..

few questions befor i attemp this though... what tools will i need, just a ball joint seperator and sockets? also is it a pain in the ass to take the knuckle out and re-install or replace it?
