is it the whole exhaust ( cat back ) or is it just the muffler. Did the muffler come off the hangers??? Best thing to do is put it up on a lift or jacks and take a look see. Find out what it is then, let us know.

can you possibly get up under it and look at it? Without pics I wont really be able to give you a quick fix. If you bring it somewhere, they're probably gonna try to ass rape you with the quickness.

Get a new pimp muffler and get some pipe bent while you're at it, perfect excuse

yeah true but how much do you think that will run me...the problem is my dad has been sick and just out of the hospital and i don't have that much money and i just lost my job (i was coming back from a job interview)...so i was thinking trying to keep the same muffler but just getting custom piping.

bent pipe? well if that then you may need to replace it...or have a muffler place just cut the bent section and re-weld another pipe. i think it has to flow properly b4 something else might goes out...

g'luck, if you're just getting a piece of pipe bent or some new mounts, it won't be that expensive, I know midas could help you out, or meineke if there's one around

okay so the rubber brushing was off so we put it back on and the original welding on the exhaust was HORRIBLE they messed up really badly and left the one of the rubber brushings was off....so now that we put it back on the exhaust is hidden into the bumper so i have to get it fixed and don't know what to do....the shop i went to said 75 just to mount the same thing back on and make it right which is too much because all they are doing is getting two rods and two rubber things...they said getting 2.5 piping would be a couple of hundred dollars....so now i'll try another place tomorrow and i guess look for the closest meineke and see how much they charge....i have to hurry though because if i keep driving like this my bumper will get all dark and nasty because the exhaust is tucked into the bumper so only the lower half is showing.

is it loud as f*ck? when i had my slammed teg i ripped off the whole exhaust,it sounded like a v8. if it ain't louder you might just have to remount.cover the end of the pipe for a second to see if your still connected. but if it's loud your gonna need to weld or get new pipes...

no no it's not loud at all but the person who welded the obx muffler did a really bad job so to fix that the shop is saying 75$ which seems way too much to me

I don't think $75 is too much...I paid $55 to get my muffler welded on, and North Carolina is a cheap state to get your car worked on. Most places charge labor by the hour and very rarely do you find one that charges by the 1/2 hour. If it takes a shop 5mins they will charge you a hour, if they work for 1hour and 2min they will charge you 2 hours...thats the way it goes. You need to find some local shop an start a relationship with them. The better you get to know them the cheaper the repairs get. good luck P.S. this is a good excuse to get a new exhaust, I use any excuse I can with my wife.
