Really far off topic
This is really far off topic, but I am going to college next year and I am wanting something that I can ride around on that is economical and fun. Or a chickmagnet
. But I was wanting a motorcycle. Specifically more of a sportbike, I have never driven one, so I want one in between 500 and 700 cc. Any ideas? I don;'t want a brand new one, just a nice looking one. I am looking to spend around a grand, like I said it can be used. Anyone have any ideas?
PS. MOds pelase don't move this, I only really trust first gen guys.

In my honest opinion, the best possible beginner bike is a Yamaha FZR600 or YZF600, there pretty much the same. There fairly light, good power in mid-high range but not too much, look nice, comfortable, and fairly inexpensive for a used one. You should be able to find a 90-93 with around 10K miles for about $2,500. If you pay anyting less than $2K, it'll probably be a fixer-upper. Also know that milage on a bike is a lot different than in a car. 10K on some bikes is like 75K on a car.

. My own little invention, so far it has pushed me to keeping up with a 15.5 prelude. Pretty good fort a luxury car, over a second imporvement.

I have bills but I also live at home and make a lot of money at my job. This year I cleared 20grand working part time. Oh yeah and I am a cheapskate I save ALL my money for stuff I want to buy
I got my '93 Yamaha FZR for $3000 about 3 years ago. Single owner, garage kept, original paint/ plastic (never been dropped), aftermarket parts. I think that you can get a good deal, you just need to do the research. I waited 2 years to get a bike and got the bike before I had my license.
