Dropped by my local Benz dealer on my way home, they had a silver CLK with aforementioned AMG package sitting on the show room floor, it certainly looks enticing, even though it wasn’t what I originally had in mind… The dealer is willing to offer 10K trading value on my old CL, is this is good deal?

I got the Rims complete with Tires from a local use-car dealer, they were salvaged from a CLS wreck , he agreed to installed the set for me for about $700, my car has been running on them ever since… and I would rather leave the HID kit in, they are about the only selling points I have on this car...

I would be test driving a CLK tomorrow, AMG is a bit outta my price range sadly to say...

 

I still don't get how 5 lug CL-S rims fit on a 4 lug 2.2CL.

ummmm .... as previously stated... ITS IMPOSSIBLE.... we have a 4 lug pattern and the 01 CLT-S has a 5 lug pattern.... not too mention different offsets.... no offense.. but you cant be riding those rims!!!

Well now that you have mentioned it, I am beginning to have doubts whether these are the type S rims? At the time I phoned this dealer I know stating that I would like to have the typeS rims installed on my old CL, he told me that it could be done for $700.00. The rims are definitely 17’’ however they are the 4 lugs type, they all have Acura emblem on them and appears to be exactly the same ones on the 01 S?

Was there ever a 17’’ rim made similar to the ones on type S? Anyway depending how the test drive turns out, I am trading this one in for a CLK…

believbe me non of us are saying you are a liar.. I believe you it does seem odd though.. a pic would help to clarify it... I placed new decals on my stock rims so its possible they are look-a-likes... but not real thing.... get a pic up...
