How do i go about cleaning my AEM filter?
Also, for all of those with CAI's installed, did you put back every plastic fastener for the rain guard (wheel well), or did you only replace a couple so that you can access your filter more easily when it comes time for cleaning.

 

You can buy a K&N recharger kit for around $20. Basically you hose off the filter... let it dry... re-oil it with the filter oil, then re-install it.

As for the guards... they were all in place. I'd rather have to take off an extra panel or two then expose the CAI to water for no reason....

 

When do you guys suggest you should recharge your filter? I've had mine for about 10 months....haven't even taken a look at the filter since I installed it. whatcha guys think?

 

That rain guard panel thing your talking about I took that motherfucker out! When it rains I just switch to short ram.....
