Rattling?

ok well when i start up my car and its cold there will be a low rattling sound coming from under the car. and when the car gets warmed up the rattling starts to get louder. i think its my exhaust but i would like someone to confirm plesae.

well i had a rattle sound come from the bottom of my car too. i found out it was my cat. take it to an exhaust place and have them check it out. but oem cats are $$$!

you could try to put an aftermarket cat on, but you are going to get a "check engine" light. i heard that there is a way around this. dont know though. if you dont change it soon, you continue to get bad gas mileage, and get lower HP. if you are in the LA area, better yet the San Fernando Valley, PM me and you can go to my friends exhaust shop. I would suggest that you buy the cat first then get it installed. this will save you $$$.

My cat does the same. I hit a bump real hard and it screwed up my cat

well, it can also be one of ur piping rattling. after i got my resonator installed, it started to rattle under my car. juss have the exhaust shop check it out and see whats wrong.

its usually the heat shield on the cat that causes the sound. i ripped mine off yesterday and that fixed the majority of the sound however there is still something else ratlling slightly. i cant figure it out.

shiet for just a sec i thought hybridnrg meant a cat got caught under his car somehow ::bows head in shame::

best known exhaust shop in the San Fernando Valley is Super Tuning. He does excellent job installing/fixing and gives out cheap price.

When mine rattled, I found out it was a hole in the resonator. Yeah, you wouldn't think a hole would make a metalic rattle, but it did.

figured out my prob. from bottoming out i broke the downpipe mount. took it off. prob solved. sux for the nect time car bottoms out heade prob gonna snap in half.
