Rad-ical 3 weeks of waiting

So I bought a new radiator on ebay like a month ago, it was on back order but they never told me till i asked, finally came today. Now I can install it, and stop my radiator from smoking and leaking coolant, since i cracked it pulling out of my driveway

So here's a few random pics

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Shiney

No, she still hasn't gotten out of the driveway again, but she's been runnin, she's comin apart for the radiator and like 5 or 6 other projects, so enjoy her for now

How do you crack your radiator pulling out of your driveway? Do you have to drive front first off a cliff to get onto the street? I don't get it!

Yep, that about sums it up

up a 45 degree angle, slammed like 3" in the front, and draggin frame I ripped my mudguards off dragged the frame or the rad support area, rad cracked.

They repaved my driveway, I can't get out of it now, I gotta raise my car. I quit fuckin with it all together for like a month cuz the rad got fucked up

HAHA!! No but I think he was on his way to. This what I'm worried about since I should be getting my drop done in the next few weeks (hoepfully this weekend). I have a steep driveway but nowhere near as bad a hybridnrg that's just rediculous, somewhere there's a vid of his exhaust scraping the ground as he backs out, it's horrible. Mine's not that bad but bad enough that I can scrape my back bumper if I back straight out and not at an angle. I'm just imagining you cursing like crazy as you hear your car getting ripped apart!! I'd be like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCC CCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! if that was my car, I'd be so pissed!! I'd get on the ground and punch the shit out of my driveway if it did that to my car!!

Mine's got a worse bump than that, and it's going UPHILL Wasn't there when i moved in, they ripped up my street for 4 months, then put this giant bump where my driveway meets the road when the repaved it, after i got my car down there months b4. YAY! so now i have to replace the rad, raise the height, just to get her moving. And I'm replacing my omnis

Oh and in summer when all that tar and shit heats up, it's gettin slammed about 100 times with a sledge hammer to flatten it out

Have you tried making something triangular like this /_\ out of wood panels? it would help decrease the drop off angle of the driveway... just jam it into the place where driveway meet the road when you get out...

I dont have to worry about this since my driveway is not steep, but that's what i would do if i'm in your situation..

Um, that wouldn't work, bottom line is there's too much of a drop off, i gotta raise the front end more

Trust me, its pretty bad. And not only is it a slope, but at the bottom of his driveway it goes to a complete drop off into like the woods i think.

That's not even the problem, it's at the top, there's a foot drop off hump from the driveway to the road

Are you serious? So your house is like sunk down like it's in a bowl? So you basically have a 1/4 pipe for your driveway? You can drop in on your driveway? That's awesome, it's every skaters dream!! You should try to sell it to Bam Margera didn't he make a skate park out of his driveway, he could've just bought your house, doesn't he live in PA!!

Bam would love to destroy my house though, and the hill is perfect for skating if you put a ramp at the bottom. Otherwise, you go down a 10 foot drop off into the woods I've watched the neighbor's kids do a faceplant down into the woods after flying down the hill on a big wheel

Update

Finally made some headway on her, replaced the radiator NOT EASY, pain in the ass, but it's all done. Here's what I did, replaced the stock Denso rad with Koyo aluminum rad, had to transfer fans, metal tranny lines, etc. Then, removed upper and lower rad hoses, they had to be CUT with an exacto knife, and peeled off the motor. Replaced the hoses with OEM honda/acura rad hoses and new hose clamps. Also cut and ran all new tranny lines and installed Hayden Tranny cooler while the rad was out and I had easier access to remove the plastic rad shield and run the tranny lines through, also mounted the tranny cooler to the condenser while the rad was out to simplify things. Took several hours of cutting lines, running tranny lines, etc, but she finally runs again, pumps coolant fully and doesn't smoke or leak coolant anymore

Here's a few pics of the install, so people can actually see that I'm doing stuff to my car

New rad installed, tranny cooler mounted and tranny lines run.

Close up of tranny cooler, the horns will both be replaced, they're rusty as fuck.

Close up of new hoses, yeah they suck to put on

New hoses and tranny lines, yeah we spilled some antifreeze and had to wash it off

Handy 50/50 holder for my bottle while I was filling her up, and running the heat. This was also the longest run she's had in a few months since her rad isn't leaking anymore

Another fun pic of the work we did, had to drop the plastic skid plate, and rip all the coolant lines off the motor, but she came out great, and pumps coolant and tranny fluid like a champ, yes i felt the hoses.

Next is the fuel filter replacement, and then onto all the electrical upgrades, and multiple engine mods installed in the EB, also the interior is coming ALL out
