man if i were you get a job and get a fucking 50 shot of nitrous even a 25 if they make it so u could beat his ass and keep that rep cause once u decline u automatically lose my friend especially in high school. i remember when my frind got his damn talon he wanted to race me so badly and i said no and people hated on me for that. so race him!!!

yeah that same guy has a talon too, but i heard today that he had the type r engine dropped in there so i cant tell by the outside, i woud race his talon but i would hate to get dusted by that integra, his integra is purple, with euros and a body kit, rice all the way......

If it is a real Type R he will beat you. The lighter car wll get you off the line; you will probably lose to him.
Where do you guys race? Is it at a track, or street? If you say street I'll have to smack you street really isn't worth it, this was in another thread:

being a loser is not that fun to me, thats why i asked the question so i wont get smoked::: my friend said he saw the engine and he said that it had a black top cover on it, does it have to be red or what? he said the the black covers are a gsr's motor....does any one know if it matters?? he was telling my friend that it was an illigal motor form japan or something...

and civic si will take you

unless ur racing down the highway at high speeds u have no chance to even catch up. last thing you'll hear is him chirping them into 2nd while you watch his tails get smaller and smaller.
if you dont know what ur racing against dont do it. you should also know if he can drive.
aside from the first prelude h22 vtec's and s2k the itr is one of the fastest hondas in stock form. (nsx is in a diff class)

At low rpm, your intake valves follow a set of low-lift, short-duration cam lobes. At aprox. 3500 rpms your engine transitions to high-lift, long-duration cam lobes. simple answer = it makes a but more hp.

dulux that doesnt exactly answer his question, llwesman hitting vtec is something you wont experience in a SOCH CL because we cant feell it, we cna only hear it. but in other cars EI integras they have DOCH when Vtec enganges you can feel the pull aswell as hearing a noise. to answer you question vtec is the cams switch from low to high. but its only at very high RPMs. vtec is overrated

Its not that its some super duper thing since Toyota and BMW have the same exact thing (VVTL and Vanos respectively).
Its just that we don't start making any noticable horsepower TILL we hit that range. Make no mistake...We're slow as shit.

I'm gonna have to disagree with the part where you state that an civic SI will take a 3.0
It all depends on the driver, but when i was stock, i beat my homeboy's SI. At the time he had I/E/H/P, cam gears, and bored out trottle body. I beat him by a bumper, close ass race, but i still beat him, over and over again as long as I had the launch. It's not like its impossible, just all depends on the drivers. My other firend has an SI, and i took him out sometimes when i was stock. But yea, a GSR and a type R will smoke that shit out of us in stock form.

Itz not illegal unless he's running an OBD1 set up and has his car straight piped (even if your car is 96 and above, you can still set it to OBD1 with some ecu chip). Then it would be illegal. But regardless, yea, he's gonna fly down the strip. GET NOS...it'll be the only way you have a chance.

Bringing this post back. i have a 2.3 cl, and the integra gs was nothing, so i bet your 3.0, some mods, and take on a gs-r, i think they only got like 170 hp or so, and like 128 lbs torque. even if you can beat him in the 1/4 mile, you still got him in top speed, just keep on going, the GS-R tops out at like 118 mph, unless he took out the limiter, if he didn't you got him there.
