i go to high school and i have a 98 3.0 cl, i heard this guy wants to race me but i want to make sure i will win before i race...he has a 97 acura integra type R, its a 4 cyl with a short ram intake and a stage 3 clutch, (its a 5 speed) will some tell me who will win this race?????? thanks alot

 

If your bone stock thats kinda a tuffy. He has a stick and you have an auto is the only PIA for ya. You have him beat HP wise (i think i'm no integra expert) but he has a manual.

 

yeah, type r running higher compression than a stock integ, bolt on's, and lsd stock? yeah my money is with the type R. is it a real type r though? if it is you'll get smoked. your ass will get handed to you. and why the hell would a type r want to fuck with you? unless your squeezing. . . . . . that might be a different story.

yeah all i have is a short ram intake and may cat gutted...so if i will lose, i just wont race him, i have beaten plenty of people at my school and never lost a race, i want to keep the reputation me and the cl have, and thats whoopin everyone

 

never underestimate the power of R, if you wanna check if its real without really asking him just look at his supension it should be five lugs if its a fake it will be four, unless he changed it which is pretty damn expensive. heres a tip, race him right after school , his car should be cold but be sure to heat up yours so that way his Vtec wont activate, or if you start racing and he starts to gain on you just smash into him since your car weights more it will throw him off and you could win!!!

 

yeah i wish i could do that, but by the time i get to where were gonna race his car will be warmed up, and lets not smash into anyone.... lol

He's got a half a second on you if it's a real Type-R. I think he'll win. He prob can launch his car like a dog w/ that clutch too.

If he's not a real Type-R, then you should be at least even (driver's race).

Now, with CAI/H/E/I/P you could smoke the Type-Rs ass! :P

that type r should be able to hit high 14s. even with all the bolts on a 3.0 cl. i dont think you could beat it. (nitrous doesnt count as a bolt on)

the type-r will rape ur ass...easy ways to tell if its a type-r:

Type-R's have no sunroof
Type-R's have 5 lugs
Type-R's only come in yellow, white, black

 

also look for typer wing and type r front lip, but every idiot with an integra throws that shit on.

That 1/2 second is magazine racing. Stock Type Rs can go high 14s. And most 3.0s on here can hardly break into the 15s stock.

i guess you've never riden in a type r then. takes off with two soild black lines on the road, chirps with two soild black lines on the road. v tec pulls hard. it's not a viper, but it will still romp on a cl. . . . .unless you been dreaming while you drive your car, almost everything romps on a cl. it's almost sad.

I've been in a Type-R twice. I wasn't that impressed. It's a light car with an LSD, of course it's gonna spin if you stick it to it.

My friends Spec-V felt better.
