RACE and SHOW help

I am attending my first event (AEI Show and Go) this weekend. I am little nervous about shit but o well. i dont have my body kit painted (Xenon sides and front WWlip) and I want to install my VAFC. For saturday I have to change my oil, paint my calipers black, remove my system and spare tire, and wax. How much Oil does our car hold?
Racing will be done in classes. The Class I am in has 2.1-3.0 non turbos, lucky me because there is an AWD Eclipse GSX than ran 10.1 w/o his new differential!!! But here is what I am up against: A 300 gt ls..... can I beat it? Its bone stock. I think I can.. I have an intake and catback exhaust (not much but something). Any things I can do to prepare for the race? Any little thing helps too! O yeah here is why I want to win so bad: Winners of every class recieves a free dyno testing... just what I need for my VAFC!!!

is that race for best time?
if not then 'consistency' is the key to winning
dial in and keep your times as close to that time as possible

the 2.2 CL hold 4.5 liters of oil. i'd use mobile 1 super syn 5w30. it's full syn and it last pretty long too

The same way I race my automatic 2.3 CL and run 14.8 1/4 mile.

Power brake and when the last yellow light turns on floor the car and let go of the brake. It's not rocket science.

Very easyily! :P

Like dcsquirm88 said, power brake, wait for the green light, and floor it!
  • I can put just a hair over 4 quarts of oil in my 3.0, and I doubt it's much different for the 2.2.
  • Lower your front tire pressure down to about 28 psi.
  • Run with as little fuel as you can.
  • If you can, put a bag of ice on the intake (wrap the ice in a towel).

Good luck!
