Last night, my CL (Cloey) passed away thanks to an asshole GMC Envoy driver . i was goin down the road with a greenlight, and at this light there is a turning signal. The person decided they didnt wanna wait for the signal, ran the light making a left turn right infront of me and collided with my car, then flipped over. Both airbags deployed, the whole front of my car was destroyed, me and my friend were taken to the hospital . The witnesses and police were telling my sister when i was in the hospital that the Envoy definitely ran the light from all the witness accounts, so atleast i know i wont be held liable. Im so happy to be alive, but at the same time so fucking pissed that because of someone's impatience, i've lost the car ive worked so much on . As a matter of fact, this weekend it was getting lowered and blackheadlight housings! OMG im so pissed , and so damn sore my neck and back/burn from the airbag deployment on my arm (i was holding on to the steering wheel) are killing me. I don't know what new car to get after this, that car fit me so perfectly. I wanna keep it in the Acura family, so maybe a 2nd gen or an Rsx? I dunno what to do with these coilovers/bolts&bushings that i were gonna put on my CL, i might be sellin' em. sorry guys, just had to rant for a bit. Any suggestions on a new car would be appreciated, or any hookups/links to affordable typeS'(6spds only)rsx or CL' s. Thanks for ur help/support guys.

Damn man, sorry to hear about the wreck. I feel your pain, my 2000 trans am was crushed by an asshole driving a giant dodge ram 3500 who was driving like an idiot. Glad to hear you are ok, and that witnesses helped prove it wasn't your fault, that's the important thing. Let us know what you want to do with the parts. But we're all just glad you're ok. I'd say go with a 2nd gen cl-s 6 speed, but that's just me. Good luck man, at least you're ok. cl

Hope you and your friend is ok, wait a couple of days and wait for the pain and make sure to get some type of settlement for your injurys and pain/suffering

also make sure to get blue book value for the car at the time of the accident and dont let them jip you out on anything if it was his fault

I know your pain... That is how I came to join the CL clan. My Teg was wiped out by some cock smoker. Anyway, I am glad you are OK... Don't worry, you will certainly find a car that will fit you. Definately get a good atorney. And what ever you do, do NOT settle on the medical side of your case untill you are back to full health. It was ten months before I settled on mine. You don't want to settle and end up with more bills than insurance money. Just the fact that you are mostly OK is a testiment to the solidity of our Acuras. I would definately look at the TL and CL-S. Those are sweet and fast. Personaly, if the Mistress were killed today, I would be looking for a CL-S or maybe even an RL. I love the luxary, I could never go back to cloth interior. My CL has spoiled me for life. Good luck and rape that SUV driving dickhead's pocketbook untill it is empty and turned inside out.

Forget the CLS...get a lawyer, sue for pain and suffering & tell them you'll take nothing less than an G35 6speed coupe w/ navi & TV....

Do you really need AWD where you live. Of course... I would surely take an RL. They now have AWD with Brembo brakes and 18" rims... The A-Spec is a dream.

I bet those doors are tweaked from the front end being knocked off. But the servos and rams are prolly still in good shape.

i just went and saw my car for the 1st time since the accident, and almost friggin cried . the body shop it was towed to says its definitely totaled . i took a few pics, ill upload them asap. the hood wouldnt open, but since it was mashed up i could see under the hood. The V2 looked like it only got dented from the battery, so i might be able to salvage that and sell it. The doors surprisingly werent messed up but the driver's door moulding for the shaved door is cracked, so selling/shipping them seems pointless at this point. not to mention shipping would be a bitch since they are heavy as hell. after the insurance adjuster comes and gets his official estimate on the car, im going to go take off all 4 wheels, the spoiler, the jack, and whatever else i can get my hands on. damn, seeing all my work go up in smoke like that really pisses me off . atleast my dad is game to buy me an 01-03 CLS6 or another 99 5spd, he says the acura CL's are a superior car
