quick ques for you 2.2 CL's

I recently bought a '97 2.2, but I need a motor for it. The problem I'm having is there a couple different F22 motors out there, which do I need? F22b? Will the F22 from a 94-95 Acc work? I read that the 96-97 F22 has a crank sensor, is this another type of F22? I've also found an F22B1. In short what is the engine stamp say on your(s) '97 2.2 blocks? ie: F22B ,F22B1, F22A

these guys speak teh truth...

f22b1 (96-97) 300-400

h22a = muchos $$$$$ but its the perfect time for the swap.. everything bolts up perfectly.. you will regret not getting the h22 later on down the road

h22

save the extra money and do the h22 all you need is the motor and not the trans so you will save money, or do a f22 with h22 head. good luck

Once again thanks for all your replies.. But the 2.2 is just for gettin around.. I am going to build the 3 Liter for performance. I already have the motor I'm going to swap into it.

VXCL I've asked you before, and you said it was very difficult and you didn't want to get involved in such a project. But are you willing to make another set of custom Headlamps like your last setup before you sold the CL?

What is the difference in the JDM F22?? And what is included for $500? Tranny? ECU? Wiring Harness? etc...

For NOW this is just a get around ride.. In the future something better than an F or H motor if it's still in good shape.

You can't build the 3.0 for performance without having a spare transmission lying around.

Will you please conduct yourself in a semi-mature manner?

If you insist on running off at the mouth, go do it in Ramblings, not here.

What is the difference in the JDM F22 motor will it be straight bolt on?? What about an F23 straight bolt on?? And what is included for $500? Tranny? ECU? Wiring Harness? etc...

For NOW this is just a get around ride.. In the future something better than an F or H motor if it's still in good shape.

he might mean f20b which is the accord euro r motor, its basically a destroked h22 -more rev happy, better flowing head, higher comp.

also you could bolt the h22 head to your f23 block and have more displacement for way cheaper then a whole swap plus the benefit of more tq. and a higher revving motor. h22 head on your f23 block + k20a pistons cams and a good header=mid 14s with bolts ons, the possibilites are endless with the fseries contrary to what most on here believe...

And what is included for $500? Tranny? ECU? Wiring Harness? distributor? How many miles on it what year the motor is and warranty? etc...

I basically need a complete motor. If you could be give a breakdown or pic as to what is included we can go from there. Im trying to get a complete of a motor as possible.

I take it, it's SOHC, and can confirm that it's a straight bolt on no cutting this and that to make it work.

Thank you for your time.. Mike S.
