Question on Sportlines....

i know most people have the pro-kit but i was wonderin...y?? i mean dont u have to get a camber kit anyway? so why not get the sportlines and lower it even more???

Im assuming im right, the sportlines drop it even more than the prokit??

If i have a 3.0, what would be better to get?

(seems like the prokit dosnt do a good job of lowering the back...always seems liek that back is alot higher...

(could anyone post a pict of a cl with the 2 different setups??? THANKS!!!

Get the sportlines, you won't be disapointed. My drop sits perfect on my 18's wheel tucks and everything.

ghander has pics of both. and that's not true about the back sitting higher. it's the opposite. the front sits higher than the rear, making it look a tad weird. but i got over it. and no, i didn't need to get a camber kit for my pro kit...if i had to do it over again, i probably would have gone for the sportlines just for a slightly lower stance. oh well.....at least it's lowered now

Any drop over 1.5" needs a camber kit. A prokit is just under, so camber can stay in specs. The sportlines are about 2" correct? Meaning that they DO need a camber kit, unless u want to burn through tires. I went with the prokit because of the camber woes. If i had to do it over, i would have gotten the H&R 1.75 front & 1.5" rear. It evens out the the problems that the prokit has, and makes the front sit about even. Have to get a camber kit for the front only i believe? The prokit is just high enough so that im not bottoming out everywhere.

I like the pro-kit because the streets in Hawaii SUCK!!! Otherwise I would have shelled out the extra money on the sportlines. The sportlines are a 2" drop. But remember when you get the sporlines you definitely need to get a camber kit and new shocks. Pro-kits are simple. Just slap them on and get a mild drop. I'd say it all depends on how much money you have and what condition the streets are in. The pro-kits are about $225. The sportlines are about the same, $225, shocks $600, and camber $300 with installation (I'm not too sure if the camber is the right price but it's somewhere around there).

Yes you can ride on stock shocks and no you don't need a camber. I'm doing that now and the ride is similar to stock. Maybe a little bouncy but no problems at all. Don't get me wrong though. Any kind of drop will wear your stock shocks out faster but for right now they will hold up for a couple years.

I have pics of both i'll post later.

Also, w/ the prokit you "MAY" need shocks and a camber kit it all really depends. Some do some don't

Acura3.0- the reason alot of people w/ the 3.0 don't get the sportlines is the extra weight in the front lower's them about another .5" and it causes rubbing when you get on the car hard. I use to be able to just mash w/ the pro-kit but I can't do that in w/ the sportlines (but it prevents me from getting tickets!

you wont need a camber kit, just get your regular alignment done

dulux, about 50% it seems of the members here needed a camber kit w/ the prokit.

personally i didn't need one. You won't know until you go and get an alignment done.

With the pro-kit I'm really happy with the rear. Looks good. But the front sucks. Too much gap there. You can look for yourslef on my www there's pic inside.
