I have been looking and talking with people about this too. Konis are obviously the best, they are the most expensive too. I havn't heard much on the KYB, but I have heard that next to the konis would be tockico's. they run about 300 for non adjustable. If you want some good price quotes go to www.shox.com They have all the shocks you want to look into.

I have the KYB adjustibles. I can't complain about the ride, but other than the stock shocks, I don't have much to compare it to.

I have Eibach Prokits with Tokico Premium Shocks (non-adjustable). They make a great combo. I can't argue that Konis are the best but since prokits don't really SLAM your car then the Tokicos are just fine. KYBs (non-adjustables) would suffice too. But if you're planning to change your prokits or drop your car more than 2 inches, I suggest you go with Koni adjustables.

Hope this helps.

In the opinio of many.. noy just myself .... adjustable shocks are really unneccessary.... so if you find non-adjustables for cheaper.. get'em...

i have TOKIKO SPORTS.. (blue) sligfhtly rougher, more sporty ride.. feel the road by alot more than stocks but only big bumps hurt.... MY CAR ALSO RIDES ON RAILS with the combo of eibach, suspension tech, tokikos and toyos!!!!

I have the KYB AGX.....I think they are great. Koni's are good but are costly. I love being able to adjust the shocks. I mess with em all the time and it is so easy becaus ehtey are externally adjustable.

jcwhitney.com has them for $65 each....dirt cheap.

Tokicos are decent too...but i prefer agx

I got my KYB's new off EBAY from an Accord auction. I haven't adjusted them yet because I still have the factory rims/ tires and need to lessen the bounce from the tires. I like the fact that when I get stiffer rims/ tires, that I would be able to control the stiffness of the ride.

I personally think the ride is good. A little stiff at times (you know when your going through a bumpy area and people are on your ass, so you have to slow down). Handling is superb in comparison to the stock shocks. Cornering is great, no more nosediving or dipping since I also changed the springs while braking, etc.

Yeah, I don't think this is something you want to skimp on...

I would say to take this to a machanic an let them deal with it. This is especially true if you are also changing your springs.

Actually, it's not that hard if you don't mind setting aside a few hours of quality time with your car. Just make sure you rent a spring compressor and buy a can of WD40 and a 2' long socket wrench with a pivoting head from Sears for those pesky bolts that don't wanna come off.

I'm pretty sure if you search the web for Honda suspension install, you'll find something. Instructions for the Integra, Civic, Accord, Del Sol, CRX, CL, etc should all be close enough.

sheesh!

just do it yourself. me and my buddy changed the springs and shocks in 2.5 hours in our garage. just rent a spring compressor (free at Pepboys) and have fun. it wasnt that hard and it beats paying a mechanic $200 or whatever it is for install. plus, when you DIY, you do it right...wanna know why cars are unevenly dropped? its because the lazy mechanics dont do a good job and they usually pinch the rubber spring seat thingy so that it folds over, thus adding height....
