question about capactitor cap
question about capactitor cap
i'm thinking about getting capacitor cap and which brand or kind makes good capactitor. Price and performance.
does this thing will last forever? or it will die in like 3/5/10 years?

um, its a capacitor, or a cap for short, you will see them as stiffening capacitors.
it wont last forever, its not like a battery though, so i would guess 10 yars is a possibility
go with one that has a digital display
and one that suits your needs, how many watts are you planning on running?

I have this

on two amps running 2200 watts total
works great.
you could proabably get away with a .5 for 300 watts.

the display helps when charging it and acts as avolt meter for your car... it can be enormously helpful and is something i couldnt live without.
well you need 1 Farad of capacitance for each 1000 watts of rms power usually, so a 1F cap would be plenty for you

a cap of any decent quality should discharge by itselfin 30-60 secs after being diconnected
