To be honest, i woud just take that filter and throw it out if you have enough miles on it. The bypass probably costs as much as that intake huh? I'd tell you to buy a k&n and you wont be sorry. You will get more hp and able to clean and reuse.

I've used the K&N cleaner and oil on my AEM filter a couple of times now. Seemed to work fine.

yeah dont use no name filters i did and when i took my intake off. the silicone was lined with dirt. i'd say get a k&n or get a hks mushroom filter (real one). i personally like apexi filters cause they are dry filters and dont need to be oiled

CiLiver2.3, i thought that AEM uses the same technology as k&n making them comparable.
trurysa, Oiled filters are better for CAI's because they come into contact with water MUCH easier. The oil helps to bead up and repel the moisture. I keep mine nice and lubed up

You must live in Ewa Beach/Kapolei area. You couldnt say that if you lived in Mililani/Manoa/Windward.

I'm not sure on a price for K&N since I have never personally bought/used K&N, but I'm sure if you go to any NAPA or Carquest store they would be farily cheap. K&N is sold nearly everywhere. I have even seen K&N filters for sale in Walmart and Sears before. Personally I like AEM even tho there really isnt much of a difference in performance from K&N.
