My friend called me up to test drive a car for him and everything was fine except one big flaw. Everytime the car shift gears it jerks you a bit hard. Is this a sign of transmission failure aka gonna die soon? By any chance does Acura cover the transmission? It's a 1998 3.0CL with 111k miles on the clock.

mine does that too if it's not warmed up enough b4 you drive out. it's been doing it for a long time now. i think as long as he gives it a few minutes it should be fine

Hope that works. The owner before him is his co-worker and he said the only downside about the car is the jerking.
