i installed my cold air intake today,
as i was putting on the filter
i bent it a little on both sides
will this inhibit performance in any way?

however when i took off
the car definately had more power
i was excited about that,
and nice intake sound too,

 

What part of the intake did you bend? The paper/cloth fins on the filter element, or the tube? If you bent the fins, it won't hurt the performance any. If you bent the tube, that's a different story.

What kind of CAI did you get?

I plan on getting an AEM also. Did you get a bypass valve with yours also? I was looking at all the other off-brand CAI's in ebay. They seem very inexpensive, like $60. And a tube is a tube but I have my doubts about the filters that come with them. I'll just save up for the AEM though. They have a good rep and everyone uses them. Did you get the new AEM V2?

 

go with the ebay ones, trust me. Your right about all the piping being the same. If you don't like the filter it comes with then just buy a k&n for like $20. You won't be dissapointed with the ebay ones.

 

what s the diffrce. a k&n filter and a aem filter?

cai's are off the hook,
i drive in the high rpm's now alot,
sounds nice with the v-tech
