pulley question

Which is better to get

AEM pulleys or the Unorthadox racing pulleys

I know the Unorathadox gives you more power but risks messing sumthing up right?

the AEM has less gains but safer?

Whats the deal here i forget.

i know of lots of people who have the aem pullies, not as many have unorthodox pulleys, I read on their website that their pullies will but wear on the engine and are not reccommended for every day driving

ive read that pullies enable your engine to run easier, but a little faster, and that they increase your alternater spin, running a higher voltage up around 15 volts, which isnt great for fuses. but i would definitely do a search on the net in some tech forums that have a lot of experience with these, because i also heard like you pullies can cause problems. and let me know what you find out!

pulley do not increse alternator spin, they slow it down by making the pulley larger. larger circumference, lower speed.

I want to get some unorthodox pullies n e body kno where i can get them? I heard they are safer than the AEM and more power. I would trust unorthodox over AEM on the pullies. I dunno y i just would.

The problem with unorthodox pulleys, I think, is that they include a crank pulley...which is not to be removed on a Honda/Acura...as we have harmonic balancers on the crank....a different pulley will throw the balancers out of whack...and mess up the smoothness of the motor....btw, I have a Type-S and the power steering pulley is the same size as stock...though a lot lighter..and loks better...the factory belt fit right back on. The alternator pulley is a bit larger....so I think the gains are really minimal...but they look nice...worth the $120...it does rev a bit quicker tho...
