Puckering Sunroof Seal
While I take an inventory of those things I want to work on, on my new-used CL (and the list continues to grow ) I have found that the rubber moulding around the leading edge of the sunroof, that seals along the sheetmetal of the roof, is starting to pucker a bit. It's not cracking, just puckering. I have yet to lift it and look for rust (cue the screams), but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen, and if it's harmless or a cause for concern?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

my seal sticks up slightly too....more on the drivers side. It seems to be worse when I go from TILT setting to close. When I go from roof open to close...its not as bad...
did that make any sense?!?! duh! Anyway, seems like just a CL thing.

The best part is that the teal one that i had did the same thing. But at highway speeds and when it was raining, the air would push the seal away from the metal allowing water to rush inside. Oh and you dont have to worry about water leaking into the car thru the roof unless it is open. The entire sunroof mechanism has 4 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch tubes at either corner and when water does seep in, it gets collected by the tray underneath the entire lining and then flows down one of the tube and away from the car.
