PSPEC short on shifters, help!

PSPEC is apparently out of short shifters for our car and I finally have the money to buy one!

so right now i'm either going to stick it out until they make more or go for OBX or DC sports. Gimmie your feedback on those and i already tried the damn search for them but nobody really says anything worthwhile about either so tell me if you got it. Otherwise i'm coming for your firstborn...j/k, but seriously, talk to me

man you better just wait for it cause the height is dramatically reduced and the other DC and OBX jsut shorten the throw and the quality of the pspec is just better

you can use the prelude shifter... and get a prelude short shift adapter too... so you got twice the shortening... figuratively speaking.

You can always buy a short shift adapter (I have an OBX) and then cut down your OEM shifter. Some guy on the Accord boards did it, and it didn't look difficult, if you have the tools. Go to http://www.filtsai.com/accord/cut_shifter/index.php

will cutiing down plus the adapter work as well a true shifter? or will that just be cutting corners and saving a few bucks, i would rather spend the cash, but if it will be just as effective then what the hell.

#1: P-spec= true shortshifter- lowers height, shortens throw significantly (so I am told), and shifts smoothly like stock shifter, costly total of ~$170

#2: Prelude shifter(4th gen/92-96 Si or Vtec)+ Prelude short shift adapter= "true" shortshifter- lowers height approx. 2", shortens throw significantly, shifts less smoothly than stock shifter i.e. notchy like an adapter, total cost ~$45+what kind of adapter you buy.

#3: Prelude shifter(4th gen/92-96 Si or Vtec)= "true" shortshifter- lowers height approx. 2", shortens throw a good amount, shifts smooth as stock shifter, total cost ~$45.

#4: Cut shifter+ adapter= might as well get a prelude shifter and adapter. Notchy shifts due to the adapter, shift throw will be longer than prelude plus adapter even though height is lowered, total cost ~$?? (not sure)

cant really cut it much cause it gets fat and hollow past the threaded part

tell them to stfu and install it for you, it should fit. Rather, just instal it yourself, its not that hard, theres directions on pspecs site

Man I dont know how a company can claim that the shifter(not adapter) can make is smoother shifting. ITs all your gearbox. Adapter, shifter, watever. Its all the same smoothness. As for the adapter, its only cutting down %35. If u want more. Go down the prelude path. Save ur money!!!

I heard you can use prelude short shifter. My boy just installed a short shifter for a prelude on a 95 Accord, he said it was pretty easy.

what do you neeed that for.. your cars all show no go i thought.. having a long shifter is the ugliest thing you could do to a interior.. IMO
