Programming my CD Player
Programming my CD Player
My battery kinda died, but not completely, didn't even need to jump it, just give it a little bit to relax..anyway, my CD player is giving me Cod 3 and Err 3 Messages and such, and I don't know what to do about it. I guess I need to reprogram it, but my car manual is gone..ermm..didn't come with one. And I am not even sure if my car is a 1st Gen or not, just kinda guessing. It is a '97 2.2, so guessing it is. Please help me.

If you do a search, you'll find threads on various locations to locate your code. It's possible that it's on the bottom of your ash tray. Pull it out and check on the bottom. I believe it's 4 or 5 digits.

BTW: 1st Gen CL's are 1997-1999.

Oh yeah; Welcome!

I recommend that you disconnect your negative battery cable for 15 minutes. Then try entering the code again. If you have the correct code, it should work.
