ok SOMEONE has to know how to help me..

ok..i ordered a blaster box from msd, its a 9500. I followed the diagram to hook it up today, turned the ignition...and it chugged once with little enthusiasm. Then i tried it again for good measure, and some smoke started rising out of my engine compartment . So i angrily put all my wiring back the way it was and it runs fine now. Anyone know what i did wrong or the EXACT way i should hook this sucker up?? it has four wires commin out of it. red, black, white and orange. oh and then a tach plug with a purple and green wires. so if anyone can help i would really appreciate it!

Never tried to hook one up. I was considering it on my list of performance mods though.

Ok try this. This is the wiring for the MSD Boost Timing Master...

Assumption: Wiring colors the same for all MSD products (no info on 95XX on msdignition.com

Our car:

The black wire w/yellow stripe is the +12V and the white wire w/ the black stripe is the ground through the rotor.

The red wire on the MSD goes to the black with yellow.

The white wire goes to the ecu side of the white wire w/black stripe.

The orange wire goes to the distributor side of the white wire w/black stripe.

The black is a ground.

Here:

No promises...
