I read most of the previous threads about swapping in a prelude shifter, but I still have one question: Does anyone know if it matters what version of the 1992-1996 prelude the shifter piece comes out of (ie. base, Si, vtec engine)? Ive seen mentions to vtec/si but I was wondering if anyone knew if the base one works as well.

i dont think it would matter, i think mines out of a vtec though. PM d98clturbo, hes the orginal prelude swapping guy

could u purchase a short shifter the same model lude and put that in our cl's?
