PPL w/ HID'S

okay, i'm having some problems with my HID kit, i thought giving some time would allow it to fix itself, but it didn't, it seems as if my driver side bulb is shining a different hue then my passenger side, the passenger being bright white blue, just as it's supposed to, but the driver side is bright white with a yellowish tint?? i know i asked about this before and people told me to switch bulbs, but i was thinking it was maybe because of the ballast, i just thought it, because my driver ballast is between my AIRBOX and my car BATTERY, for 99 3.0 there is a very small gap in between the ballasts barely fits between, i'm thinking that this may be causing the ballast to get too hot and causing the light output to alter or something? i could be wrong, any suggestions how to troubleshoot this?

It's an OEM Lexus kit. It's not made for 9006. I can turn the bulb at different angles and for some reason it shines diff colors.

Those $50 HIDs on ebay are not HID lights, they are replacement bulbs that are blue to make the light look blue or purple or whatever.

Real HID kits are anywhere from $350 to maybe $600, depending on the light output and where you get them from.

Here's link with info on the difference between real HID and replacement bulbs http://www.howstuffworks.com/question387.htm

Very simply, HID bulbs are powered by a very high voltage ballast.

Xenon (fake) bulbs plug right into your 9005/9006 wiring harness.

HID: high voltage / low wattage (35w)
Fake: car voltage / higher wattage (85-100w)

Acura3.0CL: The TTs come with either Philips or Osram bulbs, probably Osram. The Audi/BMW lights just look purpler cause they're projector lights, and they bend the light wavelength more towards the purple spectrum.
