Which cl's have spoilers and which dont? Also is there considerable difference in power from the 2.2 to the 2.3? Gonna buy a 1st gen soon!

 

It's an option. Some dealers choose to go ahead and install them when the cars new, and add the $550 to the sticker.

Not really, the 2.3 has like 5 more hp. However, there are more differences in the years. The 2.2s are 97s, the 2.3s are 98/99s. The 98/99s got some upgrades from the 97s in additon to the engine.

 

the extra .1 was to offset new emissions equip. and keep similar power to f22b1 vehicles. the 98 comes with leather standard and some other things. the added weight and new emissions equip make them identical. it would come down to which car actually had a better engine from the factory and driver if its a 5spd. a 5spd over auto is the only thing that will make the 2.2 or 2.3 faster over each other. i didnt buy a 98 becuase of the leather. i do however like their hood grill so i switched and i need to pick up their center console with wood trim. they got better rims also.

 

I thought leather wasn't standard until '99.
