now..

from people who have done the followin please let me know costs for each..

1.) h22a - rough estimate for build up..
2.) f22b1 - rough estimate for build up/turbo
3.) f23 - is it even worth sacrificing vtec for cheaper way to boost with a 2g eclipse turbo setup..
4.) anything else anyone can think of for more power from this power hungry four banguh owner..

I appreciate all and ANY help you can give me.. thru research and experience..

1)$2000 too much for 50hp if the unknown used engine works.
2)$3600 for the fmax kit (got me 100 hp to the wheels)
3)F22's are hard enough to find parts for....F23's would just be worse.

Regardless, take the 350Z payments at $XXX/mo and youll be there in no time.

how much do you think it would cost to rebuild my motor.. i got just about 115k on it and it runs better than any other car i've had.. once i put the turbo on its gonna be a different story..

money is only an issue if we're talking more than 1500 for a rebuild.. but i want somethin built for boost... because i can get a deal on turbo kits thru a friend.. cant decide between a drag gen 4 or fmax..im think i already know what you recommend..

if ya could either respond here to pm me about your build up... i think id rather just buy another motor with less miles.. build it up\get some head work done and then break it in before i turbo it..

thanks..

Pistons and rods alone were $1100 for my built F22.

Throw in sleeving and thats another $1100.

I put in all new bearings, pumps, belts too. $XXXX

I think youd be better off boosting the one you have....I put my turbo on with 110K on the odometer.

so you're sayin i won't have any problems if i just go for the turbo now? if i would just opt for a $500 30k mile engine.. could i see the same power gains as you?

The 253hp and 264ftlbs is on the stock internals.

Its probably cheaper to buy low mileage F22's and drop em in.

Figure $600 a piece...you could blow four of them before you got to the cost of a built one.
