Depends on which part you're talkin about, I sure didn't rip any clips out on yours, the pieces by the shock towers just sit up there, the rest of the sides and back are held in by clips

ya, it looks bad but maybe he doesnt have money to get it fixed. i go to the swap shop to get my tints done. not on this car, its already done, but i will be going there within a week or so to get the entire window done at 50%. my other car had it and now i notice a huge difference, also it keeps the heat out better

ive learned to live with the shitty rear tint, mechanically its been decided by my parents that this one goes until death, no major repairs and only routine mainenence paid for by me... when it finally does go, which might be a while, theyre going to help me out in buying something new (or atleast newER) without the frame damage and the bad transmission looming over my head

good luck to you with that. i think we all need some good luck charms while driving 10 year old cars. but i am a strong believer that if you take care of something, it will last you forever. only problem is, most people dont keep cars for 10 years and other people treat them like crap before we try to baby them.

sucks. i used to have a 96 accord all done up. rims, system, paint, interior, motor, etc. but one night driving after a few beers i didnt realize the off ramp was such a hard turn and drove up on the median doing 45 and bent everything in the front to include my rims, axle, bumper, ruined the tranny.... piiiiiisssseeedddd..... but it was my own fault. so i know how you feel. i think we have all had those moments

Do you have any picture of the amp mount on the right hand side? I need to come up with a way to mount a JL 300/4 with out taking up alllll my trunk space. Thanks!

Anyone else with Ideas? I currently have a W7 in a JL sealed box and the 500/1 is under the floor board behind the spare ( yes it fits)

My box doesn't fit all the way between the shock towers, it sits out like 1.5 ft or something, but man does it sound good, no installed pics yet though

just for box building info to get the box between the strut towers it needs to be 33" wide or less. My old box was 33 wide 16.5 high and 18 deep. think it was 3.4 cubes tuned at 35hz. Man it was the slamness i went for sound over looks was hitting over a 144 cant have that with many of the set ups shown

why are they a waste of money? And what do you know about audio???? Technically they give a little more cone area more cone area is better............ Personally im not into the low level brands of subs like kicker, hifonics the others and such i go for high end audio. But they still can get loud.

im an audio engineer, thanks. Square subs get loud, but thats it. Good luck finding professional audio equipment with square cones. If its not round, it creates more distortion, therefore sounding like garbage.

audio is audio, and square speakers still have a difficult time making a round wave ))))))

square speakers are only intended to make a lot of noise and wake the neighbors, not sound good

here's the old trunk setup i had in the CB7, did it one afternoon at the garage.

if you lift the black bar at the bottom it lifts up to get the spare out.
it held up pretty well till we put allan's f22a in the back.

for the CL i just mounted that amp and my music keg to a carpeted booard and strapped it to the top of the box.

I whipped this out in about a total of three days a couple of months ago. The bass plays through the ski hole so I don't have any trunk rattle even without any sound deadening materials.

Premier DEH-P860MP deck
MB Quart Discus 6.5" components
Cheap ass Kicker 12s
Octane LE

but they do get loud being square (even if they sound like trash some ppl just wanna be loud, me i like sound level and quality). If you want nice sounding audio you gotta pay for it. True quality costs forget kicker jl all that crap. Step up to dc fi re sundown the true high end audio.

lol there's to many variables to make a statment about brands like that.

i'm running rockford fosgate fronts and amp, kenwood hu and music keg, mmats subs and audiocontrol processor. if i bought it all now you'd laugh at me when i say it sounds amazing and can play anything. but all this atuff is about 5 years old or more, all american made at the peak of mass market car audio.

Yes and no. Install is going to determine the quality of sound you actually get... You can get the cheap kickers to sound decent if you know what you're doing, and you can get bad ass subs to sound like shit if you don't.

Must be nice to have gotten bunches of OS gear...

Personally, I'm going to be running 2 AA Chaos 10s (customized for bassrace from Nick at Fi/AA, out of the Randy Kubec's Asstro van) with power from a Sundown 1500D. Pics of box build:

And the subs:

Front stage consists of a Pioneer DEH-6900ub, Arc IDX processor for active crossover points, Rainbow CAL-25 tweets (yet to be installed, been too busy with the competition scene to get these in) and Bravox EXS6 mids with power from a RF Punch P450.4...
