Possibly buying car

This is my first post. My brother in law wants to sell his 99 CL 3.0 to me for1500$ just for a work car/commuter. It drives great sounds great. Only concern is that it has 272k miles and timing belt n stuff was changed at 191k. I’ve never had an Acura/Honda engine. Everyone says that’s not a lot. So idk i just wanted some feedback from people that know.
thank u

FWIW: Any decent looking, good running car, is worth $1500, in my opinion. Keep in mind that it will require a timing belt in approximately 20K miles. I would recommend you take it to an Acura or Honda dealer, and have a pre-purchase inspection performed. Yes, it will cost around $125, but at that mileage, all steering and suspension and drive line components are suspect. A pre-purchase inspection will help insure there are no costly surprises eminent. Basically, if your brother in law's car was "properly maintained", it's well worth $1500.00.
