sup guys, today i take car to autozone for them to check out y the hell my car is draining power while the car is off, and i hear a loud POP! im like wtf... Any suggestions?

 

you really need to be more descriptive when you post man.

when do you hear the POP? while driving? while turnign the car on/off? when stabbingthge tire with a knife?

where did it sound like it came from too?

LOL wasent paying attention to wut i was typing.... ok i was driving. i reved a little and i heard one loud pop. it sounded like it was comming from the front of the car... i had a similar experience like a week ago and that sounded like the pop was rite next to me...

did the CEL come on?

 

umm define detonation... and no the CEL did not com on... also i dont know if ud understand dis but... the exhaust has a very low bubbling noise...the car never done this...

 

you drive through any deep puddles recently?

sounds like a backfire maybe...
not sure hwat could cause it though.

 

ghost i dipped in a side pot hole like a week ago, and thats when all this started... and yea people say the bubbling noise sound like backfire. as for the pop noise, how come its DAT loud? any suggestions... has it happen to anyone else?

well you might have a problem with your exhaust. if you screwed up teh piping it might be getting "clogged" or maybe you knocked somehting lose in yoru engine and the cylynders aren't firing properly, causing constant backfire type noise. if the piping is bent then the exhasut may not be escaping causing the cylinders to not be able to vent the burnt fuel/air.

I dunno. I'm just shooting in teh dark here.

my friend had a similar experience with his v6 eclipse..

one of his cylinders were blown..
the exhaust should have a very uniform pulse in the noise.. in which every cylinder goes off in close to the same amount of time between the next..(unless ur revs are getting higher).. but if one of ur cylinders is blown.. ur going to have 5 hits and 1 miss.. (v6), and 3hits 1 miss (i4) .. ur exhaust is will resonate completely differently when one of ur cylinders is not working.. and it will cause that gurgling type of noise

check that out as soon as u can..

the pop might be a misfire? not so sure on that one.. but go get it checked!

i had my alternator, and tranny replaced for practically free.. =p
