Exactly the reason why I did the swap..I got the car with 145k on it and swapped at 155kish I think. My engine wasn't dead, but I figured this is my first car and I love it, and I can't really afford a new car just yet..

I've had my car for 3 1/2 years already and I've put about 50,000 miles on it, I figure I'll keep it for another 1 1/2 years. I'm not one of those irresponsible guys who changes cars every year (not a financially sound idea), but with 5 years under it's belt, I'd feel like I got good use of my car and I'll move on.
For my next car my choices right now are:
New Civic Si
Used Acura TL
Used Acura TSX
Used Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
Used Subaru WRX
Basically for my next car I want something that is either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (rear-wheel drive in New England winters gives me headaches) and I think I'd prefer a 4 door car but I'd go for a coupe too if I like it enough. I haven't decided if I'm going to go stick-shift or auto, it'll probably depend on my situation at the time of purchase.

<--- 130K miles right now. Im not selling the car, I've always wanted to keep my first car, and i plan on doing that. Its my first car, my project car that I will always modify and work on until the day I die.
My this J30 craps out, I will hopefully be swapping to a CL-S motor, 6 speed bulletproof tranny, and hopefully forced induction.

I didn't plan to lose the F23 @60,000 miles..but when it happend, I could not imagine putting the SOHC back in..Had2Get the H22. I plan to keep this car for a long time. Would like to Turbo it by next year...but run low enough boost, to where it lasts long.

i want to keep my car for atleast another year or so, but i don't know. Depending on college and where i go will decide alot if i will keep my car or not. It's an awsome car, but as of now i am offered a brand new BMW M3 next year if i can get into the URI pharmacy progam, mind you it is one of the hardest to get in and one of the best pharmacy schools in the country. But with that being rear wheeled drive i may also get a beater truck, or maybe even keep the CL. :2cent:

\Can't wait to see it..Iam going to work the kinks out of the motor as is...then look at my finances to see if a turbo is an option.

keeping the cl till i get out the navy (june 2007) and depending on where i work will determine if i'm in a Caddy CTS or a 330 sedan. if those two don't pan out, whatever i get must be RWD and have a manual tranny....if the TL was RWD

I doubt my family's '97 2.2 CL with 148k will be dying any time soon. Had it since day one, brand new, and the only problems this past couple years are the two window motors going out. Def one of the most reliable cars ever, it's been through my mom, sis, bro, and now my mom's driving it again. And soon it'll be my car as soon as I can drive (I'm 16 in Jan.)

im actually gonna make the CL my project car. When i can afford it it is going into my garage and its gonna be torn down. I HOWEVER am going to be keeping the F23 and doing a lot of work to it. There is a lot of stuff that you can do to it. Its gonna be more of a show car anyways rather than a speed demon. Thats what the two vehilces that are gonna be parked next to it are for. Either a STI or EVO 8 and a GSXR 1000
