Well this is my last visual mod for a while. I'm not spending another dime on the car untill I get my JDM H22. I'm really happy with the quality of the CF. I was kind of nervous since it's not a well known name.

Only problem is the small gap above the driver side headlight. Other than that it fits perfect! I'm going to have a body shop make it fit perfect if I can't do it myself.

Thanks to Duece for the great deal! I drove about 80mph the whole way home and it was fine. Fuck the hoodpins! I actually might look into some black hoodpins if I can find some that are a little smaller than normal. (i really don't want any though)

If anyone has any advice on how to get the front left side to come down about a centimeter, let me know. Thanks.

It's that same aero trendz company or whatever. (not sure exact company name) I bought it off Duece for $170 plus I gave him my stock hood.

I think they charge $400-$450 for a new one.

yeah, it's only the driver side one. The other side is perfect. I'm going to get that fixed by the end of the week, I'm also planning on getting the edges painted black (professionally). On the sides and top, not on the cf.

what do you mean? I've always wanted to paint the chrome trim around the windows on the side, if my car ever has to go in for some paint that's definately on the list. Don't want to do it w/ spray paint.

they are still white so i don't want to put them on. My girlfriends uncle has had them sitting at his f***ing shop for almost 2 months. He said he'll paint them for free when he has some extra time. Damn guy is lagging!

CLpower- i'm not talking about the chrome trim, i'm talking about the edges of the hood. The trim might look good black too though


Casper-I know man, I'm gonna take care of the white/grey edges. The camera really made that edge stand out in a few pics. It isn't verynoticable in person, but i'm still gonna paint them.
You had a problem with the grill not fitting? How did you fix it? Mines alright, it's not quite like the stock hood, but it ain't bad. Again that white edge kinda makes it look strange. I'm gonna take care of it all, cause I like shit to be perfect.

FastVtecCL-Thanks bro! As far as I know theres only like 1 or 2 companies that make the cf hoods for our cars. I think one is called Aero Trendz or something like that. Ask Duece, he's the one i bought it from. only problem is it's in Ca. and that shit would probably get thrashed on the way to Carolina. I think they ask $480 shipped.

I thought about that, but can't you see through the mesh pretty easily? I don't want the latch and shit showing through my grill. Mine really doesn't fit too bad, if I change it I will get one made like d98's.

 

hey ryan if your planning on getting a new grille dont use mesh it looks like chicken grille when theres too much get a custom made one it`ll be siiiiick.....
