wow

I'm doing study-abroad in Florence, Italy right now and my only internet access is an internet cafe which I rarely go to, so I don't usually post on these boards anymore but this car looked so awesome that I had to. I want to say good job to everybody involved in that awesome automobile and also that this post has made me miss my car for the first time since I've been here. Peace.

CLStyle... THANK YOU!

TWYN... That' s the exact look I wanted since I am showing this year.. I had to make a Luxury Sport a TUNER and i think I accomplished that!!!!

Ghander... Thanks... but where are the fitment probs.. these bumpers are tighter to the body than my stocks ever were!!! Do not be mislead by intentional flairs (ie rear bumper by the wheel well) They are supposed to be there!!! oh and the spots are water drops.. we washed her quick for pictures!!!

Acurality... if you arent willing to play with new ideas and deal with some imperfections.. Then no.. if you are willing to make it work.. then yes!!! Great things in life do not come easy!!!

JOESHMOE / BRYANZ... THANK YOU!

Zero... thanks... glad to hear that it had that much impact on you!!! makes me feel good that my ideas get that reaction...

OF COURSE ITS GOING TO LOOK LIKE AN ACCORD A LITTLE! they are mechanical twins, same frame, same suspension, same chassis, same interior framing, same windshield, same door jambs, etc...

especially since by looking at the car directly from the front the headlights are barely different from an accord, YOUR GOING TO THINK ACCORD WHEN YOU SEE A KIT ON IT BECAUSE THEY MAKE KITS FOR THE ACCORD. you need ridiculous body mods to change the way the car looks completely (like i am doing) aka front and rear light conversions, wide body, etc...

YES IT MAY RESEMBLE AN ACCORD, BUT FOR THE REASONS THAT AN ACCORD IN THIS BUSINESS IS ACCUSTOMED TO HAVING A BODY KIT AND A CL ISNT. BUILD A KIT FOR A CL IT STARTS TO LOOK MORE LIKE AN ACCORD, AND ONLY BECAUSE YOU HAVE SEEN ACCORDS WITH KITS BEFORE.

i totally respect your opinion that you dont like it, thats fine, thats not the point i am trying to make. take a look at the back of caspers car..... does not look like an accord, it resembles a supra/new 350x/ murcialago/ hatchback/etc...

say what you want, but there is nothing luxury on a cl, they dont look luxury when you pull the bumpers off and get rid of the points in the middle of the car.except the leather interiors, the heated seats, and the overall length as opposed to "tuner" cars that are smaller they arent luxury. a buick is luxury, you guys ever see a skyline in person, up close? they are long as fuck, and they will smoke any supra on the road if done right.

if you want my opinion, and by no means am i trying to offend anyone that likes the look of the stock cl, BUT I THINK THE STOCK 97-99 CL IS BUTT ASS UGLY. there is more to a car than the exterior performance. every post-94 stock acura or honda body is nicer than the 97-99 cl in my opinion (with the RL as the exception) including, the vigors, accords, civics, nsx, tl's, etc...

SAY WHAT YOU WANT, WHETHER OR NOT YOU LIKE THE KIT, WHETHER YOU WOULD RATHER A DIFFERENT KIT, AN ADD ON LIP KIT, WHATEVER THE CASE, A CL WITH A FRIGIN 78 DATSUN BUMPER SWAP LOOKS BETTER THAN IT WOULD STOCK, AND YOU KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!!

and if you want to argue that last statement about you loving the stock cl over a cl with a kit, or any modification for that matter, make sure you are all stock, no clear corners, no wheels, no drop.

and if you want to argue that you dont like body kits.... there are only 1 type of genre in the sport compact world that dont run body kits, they are the hardcore street racers, not people that race on the street, i mean hardcore, with 1 seat, no interior, probably live in New Jersey, and if that was you then you wouldnt be on this board because you wouldnt be wasting your time with a 4000lb car.

the people that like their cl's stock do not even know this board exists. they are the older men and women you see occasionally on the road that dont even notice you too are driving a cl.

so quit whining and say something like.... "damn, i am looking at one out of maybe 3 or 4 cars in the entire world with a full bumper body kit, looks different, unique, etc...

if a company made a kit for our car, 98% of you would have it, whether or not you liked that kit or not. you know you would, and so does everyone else.

like i said, if you didnt want to modify the hell out of your car, you would have never looked for this forum.

my $.02

peace out, i have to have another kit in paint by this coming weekend so it can look like an accord.

after more examination the kit does look great w/ awesome fitment, i was just looking at that spot you pointed out, a few questions, so you are putting on fender flares? Also will those get rid of the wheel gap? What are kind and size are those wheels?

Only thing I don't like, is the exhaust sticks out to much, the tip looks like a penis, but mine sticks out to far too (i've been to lazy to go get it fixed) so I have no room to talk

Rmstoico: Simma down na, Remember one thing, an opinion is solely that; an opinion. The guy said it looks like an accord, and he doesnt care for it, whooptie fuckin doo. Casper, i too have been around the "scene" a while (yes including show). I was not aware you were showing your car, cool deal. Im not knocking anybodys car on here, theres some i like especially, and some that are not my type. I guess its hard not to jump down someones back after such a long hard process, but stoico should just take critisizm with a grain of salt next time.

if you post on the internet expect criticism, it's basically what you are out looking for. You are gonna get very diverse opinions w/ the diversity of people on this board. Expect it, suck it up. I know how hard it can be to take it after you've put your life and soul into your car. Alot of people hate my hot rod, do I give a fuck? Nope, cause the bitches dig that shit

Pimpin.. thans man... you have the silver CL? your kit is looking great!!!

Ghander.. to answer your questions.. No im not going wide body with fender flares... not my thing... the gap is temperary. I have AIR Ride being completely installed at the end f this month illiminating the Gap.. I BE SLAMMING!!! The wheels are the same white wheels i had before custom pianted dark anthracite metallic (Tenzo Poke 10s 17".. I cant go bgger because the kit was made for that size.. when i slam it to the floor with air ride.. the kit will sit 1/2" off the ground.. if i go bigger with the wheels.. ill sit higher defeating the purpose!

VXCL.. I actually love all the mesh.. to each their own... The stock grilles DO NOT fit nice!!!!! the cut out on my hood wsa too big for stock grilles and there was no way to screw it in!!! The mesh fit in perfect!!! and why you looking at my ass!? you like my ass huh!?

Twyn.. You cant really say to Simma down to someone you dont know.. or a situation you do not know.. Picture putting 2 months effort in, virtually 24-7... and have to hear the same obvious points made... its his lively hood being critiqued... I think he's entitled to defend it!!!! Both sides taken well, critism needs to be accepted and so does a comeback!!! and yes.. I showed IASCA last year.. now I want more show and less BS!!! I will be showing all over the East Coast!

ghander... as for you last post... I am sure that ROSS knows exactly what you said.. its obvious.. i know him real well.. but yet again.. its his lively hood, he hasnt slept in days (because of me and my car) so EVERYONE EASE OFF!!! If you all could see the last few days of shit we all went hrough, him especially.. you'd understand!!!

Bravo....well done. I haven't been a member for this forum long, but long enough to know that the biggest complaint has always been...."dam"....when is someone going to make a kit for our car!! well boys n girls....you looking at it!!! You guys at MW didn't talk about it ...you guys did it...and for that reason alone....she is the finest dam kit I have seen. the car looks great, and some guys my nit pic....but we all know that if you had 20 CL's at the show....which one we would be looking at.....and isn't that.... what it's all about....who's looking at me!!!! I think I know where I'm going to spend that fat income tax return. Just one question, when I do come for my kit....is it possible to have it with dual exhaust cut outs....could we even put dual exhaust on a 3.0? Once again....props to you and your crew....for your vision....your talent and your balls.... not just to talk about it....but getting it done....ONE

I thought criticism was welcome. I'm not trying to downplay your hard work, Ross. Go post it up on DTM Power and see what happens. I dare you. You really think people are gonna be like "DAYAM...He's kitted"? I think you know what I'm talking about. Not everyone shares the same views. Kitted not necessarily = nice. Its just my opinion. No offense intended.

casper looks like ill be seein ur car in person. the fact that it is night and the flash is prob why the mesh looks bad. i know the car looks doff on person. i used to have mesh in my lower openin and i remeber how bad it looked in my pics at night. anyways let me know if u ever want go custom hid projector. if i can get my can get a pa license, insure, than register my car. u will be the first to see my projector setup in person when i pick up ur hood.

hehehehe I got the same problem mine sticks out to far and its to damn big, like 5 inches in diameter. It rubs on the sidewalls of its 'housing' lol I dont think I will get it fixed though, its one of those things that nobody notices but you because its yours.

acura... if you do a search.. the company is listed.. I gforget the name but it has a 714 area code for the #.... it costs $410 shipped to NY... via greyhound.. it takes forever to get, the fawk up orders, so its a hassle.. its also NOT a perfect fit!

You have to drill out yourself... adjust the hinges, and make a new grille because the cutout is way bigger than it should be!!! it also buldges alil on each side so you have to strategically fill gaps with rubber moldings!!!!

Acura & Ricka... Thank you for the compliments!!
