then theres that....just be careful, in NY, we get tickets like crazy for exhaust noise. I'm sure Cali isn't any different. its not worth it to me to get something that you have to worry about getting a ticket for.

im pretty sure the bigger the resonator, the more it keeps the sound low.

I have the 18 incher with that same muffler. Its deep but not crazy loud. Pretty much what ju5tchi11in said, when you hit the gas and let off. But sounds great when just cruising at 75.

just curious where do you get the resonator from? I see the mufflers on ebay but not the resonators. do you have to order them straight from magnaflow, or do certain muffler shops have them.

oh yah...i forgot to tell u guyz my exhaust story that happend yesterday. yesterday, i stoped at the red light, next thing i know there is a cop right next to me. magnoflow exhaust gives a deep loud even at 2-3000 rpm. even though i wuz pushing my accel padel very slowly, it wuz still fuckin LOUD! the cop wuz keep staring at me but he wuz nice enough not to gib me an exhaust ticket. btw i dont have a resonator right now so itz super loud but deep loud so it sounds good. i think the magnaflow exhaust that i have is loudest when it hits 4000-4500 rpm and as u go farder rpm, the deep sound decreases n gives a lil medium pitch sound, dats when u hear my V2 intake. i love my exhaust! i got it done last saturday. but ill probably like it more with resonator installed. getting it done tomorrow.

to remove resonator you need to get it cut off... it is welded into the exhaust piping... I don't think you could really do it yourself... I could be wrong though.

and sorry justin no sound clips I might do one if I can find someone who's digi camera has a video thing. Fuck my shit sank lower after i put the subs in... I am rubbing my tires on turns and shit if I was to put a camber kit on my tires wouldn't actually fit since they are so tucked.

if u get the 22 inch it will hang a little low and you will scrapei know because i have it on mine. it is pretty big (round). you will have a very deep rumble. if you drive carefully then i say the 22.

i don't rub my resonator... im basically almost on the floor... my mudflaps in the front are now an inch and a half off the ground... and that is after they have been worn away a bit from pavement.

I reaaaaallly wanna hear some sound clips of these Magnaflow exhausts! Whether its the 18 or 22 in., with or without resonator, etc. I just wanna get the feel for what it sounds like. I definitely dont want that ricey WHAAA sound that you hear a lot. I just want a deep purr, and maybe a little bit of a roar when accelerating. So pleeeease....anyone who is capable, post sound clips!! Thanks in advance.

So I was just reading up on some exhaust/resonator threads because I have the 14816 muffler sitting in my garage waiting for a resonator and some 2.25 piiping...

I was curious if this is the correct one...

http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=10434

and the Magnaflow part number is Magnaflow 10434

I was also wondering what the difference may be between a magnaflow resonator or just the stock... I could save myself some money...

thanks for any input

Oh and... I was checking the sizing of the inlets and my muffler has a 2.25 inlet and the link I posted has a 2" inlet... I can't find any 22" resonators that have the 2.25 inlets on ebay or anywhere.. any help?

I got the 14815 i think and it sounds fine to me. I was going to get a resonator but after hearing it I think its quiet enough. It sounds nice and is only really heard when punched. Id get the muffler installed than see if you want the resonator on later on. Cause personally I like the way mine sounds.

Oops... I realize that, that one has only the 2" inlet I went down one to the Magnaflow 10435 and that might be correct... anyone have input again? thanks

So... if I get just the muffler on... How much would that cost? And If I don't like it since I have an offer an a 22" resonator I would have to spend more money on 2.25" piping and install of all that...

I dunno...
