parking lot damage
So yesterday had to go to orileys for some stuff for the racecar. When i came out to put the stuff in the trunk, my rear bumper was scratched the fuck up. No one says they saw anything, or heard anything. The times i looked out to see if anyone was around my car like i always do. I never once saw anyone around the cl. Here's some pics. of the damage. What can i do use to get some of the scratches out by hand?

Is paint chipping? or is that their paint? Weird that no one was even near it, maybe it happened previously and you didnt notice. depending on how deep the scratches are it may buff out. you should see my bumper, now THATS bad.

the markings to the right of the tag might buff off because they really just look like transfer( extremley hard to tell from a picture) But the rest are gouged into the paint and will require some touch up the only good thing is that its plastic so you dont have to worry bout it rusting

as for the touch up paint i would hit up your local acura dealerships paint and body shop and see if they have some of your paint left over from a previous job and they might even give you a small bottle of it. we do it all the time for our customers at the dealership i work at

paint is chipped right above the license plate. i bought 2 bottles of touch up paint when i bought the car in November, didnt want to resort to touching it up. looks like the previous owner used blue nail polish before i bought it

Scratch and chip Removal
hey man sorry to hear about the damage.
1. For the really deep chips or scratches even, apply polyester body filler, sand it to the right shape, then use the touch up paint over that, buffer it, and then apply a coat of wax.
2. For small tiny scuffs and scratches (I mean really small and thin ones), I use the QUIXX scratch removal system. you can get it at many auto stores and it shouldnt run you any more than $20. it works great.
too bad there are too many haters getting jealous out there with their fart cans.
but good luck man!![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I hope I helped you out a little bit...

im taking the car in this week to have rear brakes put on. when im there, im going to use some compound and see if i cant get the light scratches out. if they are fucked. im just going to buy a new rear bumper on it. although it will set the swap back a lil bit. it will be worth it

defiently dont need a new bumper. I fix ripped, torn, dented bumpers on pretty much a daily basis. the damage to your bumper dosent even look bad from the pics of course i cant see if there are any creases in it but it is repairable. A shop shouldnt charge you much to feather out the gouges and paint the whole bumper. Shouldnt cost you any more than 250 bucks.

You really dont need a new bumper. I fix ripped, torn, dented bumpers every day. Your bumper is totally repairable. Plus when you see the price of a factory bumper your gonna freak. Id just get the body shop to repair and paint the bumper.
