Hey, VXCL,

Those Silver, right? Sideskirts look really good. When I went looking for a CL I was not all that fond of a car that was 100% black for personal taste reasons. But what you've done with your car looks real sharp. Since I ended up with a white CL, I wonder if doing mine in Black would make my car look sharp?

Any thoughts guys?

thanx for the compliments. just make sure u pick a nice shiny black. all white is sleeker, but two tone is more sporty. yeah but black plastic is gay. i painted everything.

but now im getting rear lip and side skirts and am going back to all black. going for sleek

I hate my black plastic stock side skirts, especially since my car is white, its looks so bad. It looks so much sleaker/cleaner when its all just uniform and in one color. How much do you guys think it would cost to have a shop do it?

im sorry guys........i realize im lucky and have a shop to use..........but honestly......you can do it yourself......go to a good paint shop and ask for a flexible paint....tell em youre painting side skirts......and give them your paint number (on the side of your driver door area) and ask em to put it in a spray can...... then you have to mask off the whole car (if you dont want overspray on it.........ask at the paint shop for good plastic and tape to mask off with./.......wipe the skirts with isopropyl alcohol or mineral spirits and clean it really good, then spray.........200-400 is ridiculous.......i'd pay 200 at the best shop around.......400 is unbelievable......it cost me like 40$........

well, it'd be alot easier to take em off and paint
id recommend that.........they dont need to be sanded.........just aslong as you clean them well and apply 2-3 good coats......make sure theyre really REALLY........look at me, REALLY clean.......or the paint wont stick......itll bubble.......good luck

VX- I have seen your grill many times but i think after seeing it again i really want to get rid of the mesh and do some black to match my car. How did you manage to get it so even? Do i just clean it well and carefully spray it? Thanks

If your talkin about the hood grill then i bought all new pieces and first painted it the color of my car. then i masked the center and painted it blue. then i sat there for about an hour and painted the gill pattern with silver touch up paint. then clear coated the whole thing. if ur talkin bout the lower thats a diff story. i actually ripped mine off. i prefer the look without it.
