Painting rims.

well i bought these accord 15" rims/tires for $10, good deal from neighbor who baught for daughter but never got to it. i needed new tires. my tires on my stock rims were warped and bulging kinda bad. so yeah. and this is a fun project for my car.

ive got them sanded and primmed. and one rim has one coat of BRONZE on it. thats the color of choice. on a primrose. so yeah. cant wait till i get er done. its raining.

oh and another question. is it bad to put on the smaller rim/tire on the CL?.

Cl 205/55/16 = accord 195/60/15........? ? i read something on the center of the hub?? thing? smaller rim diameter?

will there be a notice in performance besided unsprung weight? grip, turning, noise, comfort?

here are some pics..

not the acutal b4 pic..

pics..still need to do more coats for sure!

looks good, ive always loved those rims, especially bronzen,But 2 things

its gonna look a little wierd, ive always thought smaller than 16 looks weird on our cars just because stock is 16.

and your really gonna need to slam that shit after these

Why would you do this when powdercoating is only like 60-80 bucks a wheel.

but i do understand that to a young kid like myself that can be a lot too. I wouldnt waste the money, unless these are your rims that your gonna rock for a while.I had mine done because these are my stock rims, not something i bought for 10 bucks, plust i got mine done for 50 each!!! to me just looks like a nice 10 dollar buy, and u get to do a little work too.

I think best thing is to downgrade everything by one size eg. 205/55/16 to 195/65/15. It keeps the car height identical, suspension with less strain and odometer accurate.

taking off the tires isnt necessary, but deflating would have helped.

will probably look too small w/o drop. but if u need tires that bad, 10$ for 4 rims and tires is a steal.

HERE YOU GO GUYS, but 3/4 of the tires leak around the rim.. i used fix a flat on 2 and fixed one. so now 2 leak. dad told me to go get them resealed. how much does that run? i call later.. too lazy.. looks good. besides the leak.. handles better than my other set of rims/tires for some reason. idk. i feel lower. lol.. i think it lowerd the whole car by 3/4".

looks good, but slammed looks great
resealing shouldnt be too much i think its about $10 a tire........but they might scratch the paint on your wheels.

yea, I'm not really feeling the color combo, the fact that it's 4x4 status isn't helping either. If the car were white or black then it would look better.

29.99 to reseal a tire and i had fix a flat in 2 of them, 1 sealed good. the other 2 still leak and 1 was good.. and they said that they cant do fix a flat. they can take it off but then id have to buy a new tire so it would cost me a new tire and $60. so forget that. .. lame.. so i just jerked the car back and forth hard. lol.. might reseal.. hahah.. lol. i checked and i didnt hear a hissing no more.. lol.

the color combo looks fine to me, car just really needs to be slammed. And it handles better cuz the rims are lighter, my car handled amazingly on 15's being lowered also

Sexy teg for sure, I actually like the color combo, just needs lowered to set it off, and some tint. Your car sits like my 4runner with those 15's
