I didnt even take the caliper off when I did mine and it turned out good. It sounds like you have everything you need. I didnt buy the kit, I just went to wal-mart and got some high temp spray paint. I used engine cleaner to clean them. I sprayed the paint on a piece of cardboard and painted it on with a brush. Turned out really well. Good luck

if you want to take them off just jack up the car and there should be two blots on the back side of the calp. but make sure you have a c clamp just in case your cylinder comes out a little then you wont be able to get the brakes back on. you should be alright though dont think they should do that.

I painted mine several weeks ago, and didn't need to take the calipers off. Just mask off the not-to-be-painted surfaces with newspaper.

Good Luck!

Since it took about 30 minutes to do each one (brake cleaner, rinse w/ water, rust reformer, rinse again, drying time, then paint), I would say I drove my car 1 hour after the last caliper was painted (which means it was about 3 hours after I began the project).

Using the brakes helps them cure (due to the high temperature). It's best to wait at least an hour, so that they are dry to the touch (and so that dirt doesn't stick to them), before driving.

Good Luck!
