If you havent painted the valve cover yet, its easiest to tape off majority of VC, paint the letters the color you want (let dry), then go back and tape off letters or just apply vasaline over the letters and areas you already painted. then paint the back drop (rest of VC)... then when its all dry if you did it right the vasaline and VC color paint will come right off the letters. then go ahead and apply your clear coats, etc... u guys should also paint the oil cap the same color as your letters. GL!

taping off the letters was a bitch when i started mine..
this time i will definitely just spray over them and then sand/paint them afterwards

VHT makes a decent red and black wrinkle paint for valve covers - pretty close to oem. just picked some up - finally found a supplier in Canada!!! If you don't have a steady hand for the vaseline trick, you can always pick up a block sander from your local hardware store and sand the paint off the letters. I haven't done mine yet - waiting for the warmer weather - going wrinkle red though!!

Air cleaner change

I see you have a revised air breather setup. Two questions;

First, any real difference in performance and/or gas mileage you've noticed?
Second, any difference in sound?

Thanks

Wee!!...

oh and again... ignore everything else that is MAD DIRTY...

and... I still havent had time for the black over the 2.2 VTEC or the washers that are blue

geez... one more thing... I plan on painting the heatshield a gray or white to get rid of the rust... but i need to buy high temp gray or white so...

if you try that... have a cup to put over it cuz the spray paint comes out fast and it sprays up all over you... so cover the cap with a cup and open it just enough to let the spray paint in... or what i also tried... just spray into the cup and get enough to pour into the cap ... works good
