paint needles?

Would I be able to paint my gauge needles a different color without causing any problems? I ask because I want to swap out my gauges but the white needles in the 97's will be hard to read.
thanks!

On of the guys on here has painted needles. I think he masked off the gauge and just sprayed it with orange paint.

My white needles are easily seen (even on white gauges).

I would do it, if not, use a highlighter or a marker and go over them.

Yeah of course it's possible, but your needles wont accurately display the actual reading. The paint will wiegh them down.

I thought he had a 97 because of the grille I was thinking of doing a 98 orange conversion. I herd the needle of the speedo comes off if so, I mite look into doing that.

So the answer then is no because it will affect the accuracy of the gauges?

I have a 99, my needles are orange to begin with, looks great with my white face's w/ red numerals Correct whoever said that my grille was a 97, however it was HEAVILY modded to look the way it does now:P

BTW, i do think that the 98/99 cluster come with orange needles.....it would only make sense seeing that the jump between 97 and 98 was the only years Acura changed things on the car. Also, not 100% sure:P

98-99 have orange needles. My question is: do 98-98 needles light up like 97+ Preludes?
