Paint

I have a friend who does paint/body work. He's willing to do the paint job for almost no labor cost if I supply the paint and clear. The car needs it badly all around, there's a lot of scratches and chipping, and even rust on the roof.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with the tafetta white, but I may go with something brighter. Either way, what would be the best place to get paint from, and how much do you guys think I'll need? I'm willing to pay more for good quality paint, but I don't want to pay a ridiculous amount either.

Klines out by 5th street... Take rt 12 to 5th street, go toward the mall and on the first intersection make a right (before the tux place with the penguin). On the 4th intersection make a right. Go to the end of the road and look for Klines on your left. Its going to be the last building on the left.

Address is:

2500 KUTZTOWN RD.
Reading, PA 19605

Oh and as for paint, You can go from DuPont which is expensive but amazing, down to nason (I think but dont quote me on that) which is the paint that Macco uses and is cheap and well shitty. There are a few which are in the middle but I dont remember the names. Dont go all out on the paint though. The more you spend on clear, the nicer it will come out and the better it looks. Dont spare money when it comes to clear. DuPont is the way to go here..

Primer: can be some "eh" stuff
Paint: has to be good,
Clear: the best you can afford as this is what gives depth and shine.

Yeah man I have seen you around too..

And how much would your friend charge to paint my hood? Its got a hell of a lot of rock chips in it along with 3 or 4 small dents that need to be pulled/filled...

This is of course if he wants to do it and can do a good job painting black as its a hard ass color to paint...

I'll let you guys know, depending on how busy he is, this may not happen for a few months yet. I'll ask him about having your cars done too and I'll let you know as soon as I can.

I'm sticking with white, taffeta most likely, but I wouldn't mind something brighter. Are the 97's (frost white) lighter or darker?
