oxygen sensors
haven't posted in awhile but my check engine light came on. I got the diagnostic report from a local auto shop. they said the rear O2 sensor is bad and needs replacement. Bad news is they say the part costs $500! I did a little research and have found several sites(oxygensensors.com) that have the sensor for as little as 80 bucks. They (oxygensensors.com) have a Walker sensor kit that replaces the Bosch part 13176. Does anyone know if this will work? Any help or experience with this problem would be a benefit. Thanks

If you can get them for $80.00, then go for it. The cheapest I've seen is about $185.00: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...T+PIPE+%282%29 Illustration #20 (if you have the 3.0)
and
$90.00 http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...T+PIPE+%281%29 Illustration #28 (if you have the 2.2/2.3)

Funny, I got the same diagnosis from my repair guy in Florida (rear O2 sensor bad), however; I took the car to another shop (Atlanta) a couple of days before and they said there is a problem with the EGR port. If that's the case I understand that there’s a special services campaign from Acura to repair the problem. You may want to get a second opinion before paying for an unnecessary part.
