over heating

whats up guys? Here is my problem..I own a 97 2.2cl.. well i was driving home from work today...its like a 30min drive all highway and i noticed that my temperature needle when slightly above the normal temperature....when i got home...i opened the hood and checked the resevoir and it the fluid was slightly above the max tick mark...so i know im not low on fluid....i also heard the fan run...so i know my fan is working...i unscrewed the cap to the resevoir and i noticed steam coming from the hose (the hose that sucks fluid into the radiator and out of the radiator) is this normal? What could the problem be? thanks guys.
