In & Out

Well, I bought a 2.3CL 10 weeks ago and yesterday I sold it. I really did love the car, but I just bought a new boat that I can't tow, and I realized how nice it'd be to be able to trailer my other Jeep around, then garage it all winter so it can be further molested.

And largely, it was killing me not getting to drive a Jeep everyday. So, I'm in the market looking to buy a V8 Grand Cherokee. Going from 40 mpg to 4 mpg.

Here's my former Ack

^ Next to mom & dad's '08 Tiburon GTP. I can say the CL rode a hell of a lot nicer.

Thanks for the forum for the brief period I've been on it.

Goodnight everyone!

CL looks clean. Lucky new owner! I'd have looked into the towing ability before i sold it though. Times are hard with these gas prices

I recall reading in the CL manual it'll tow 1000 lbs. The boat, motor, trailer, gas, beer I figure weighs around 1500 lbs. (16' Crestliner bowrider). But towing's not the only issue, it's launching and landing. Many boat launches I use (including the beach in my parents yard) require the truck to be driven into a couple feet of water with a muddy bottom. My lifted TJ with Super Swamper tires goes into 4-lo for the job.

Also, I'd eventually like to either get a tow bar or a whole car-hauler and be able to trailer my TJ. With a 2000 lb. hauler, the package would weigh 5500 lbs. 4.7L Grand is rated at 6500 lbs.

For fuel guzzling, well, I live 2.2 km (1.4 mi.) from work. And by the way, your gas is dirt cheap compared to ours. Sudbury I think is about $1.35/L, which would be $5.10/ US gal.

And lastly, having a second 4x4 will allow me to park the TJ for winter (it's miserable in winter) and have months in the garage to embark on big projects.
