So I went to Pepboys yesterday to replace the battery. I requested the Optima red top, but the sales guy said it doesn't fit in our '98 2.3cl? What gives? I know I've seen pics of other members using them.

 

he's a f'n moron. go somewhere else, or just take the battery info(amps, etc.)
and forget tellin' em about what car it is.

they do fit, our application (3.0's included) arent in their records, beacause of the tie down, just get one that has the right stats/ one for a similar car, i just bought one off the shelf without asking and it worked fine

Thanks guys... aside from the fact that the sales guy was an idiot, it was extremely busy at the time. So I walked out. I think I'll have to find time to install it myself. Which is the exact model red top that is a match???

 

i have no idea, im at school next time i go home ill check :P
