i have a 98 cl, and i want to debadge the "acura", and "3.0" emblems on the trunk, my car is white, and i dont know if i should do it b/c there may be an outline of the emblems. Does anyone have advice on whether i should do it and on the proper way of doin it, thanks
Definately do it!! It would look a lot smoother and have a cleaner look to it. I did mine after it rained, and it was kind of moist, so i kind of pulled it off, but it hurts the fingers. You can use floss also. And after you do that, you can use a little bit of gasoline or goo gone to get rid of the glue thats left. Trust me, you'll love how it looks debadged! Good luck.
I also have a '98 that's white and I took off the "Acura" and "3.0CL" but replaced the "3.0CL" with a brand new one and added the 2nd gen A-C-U-R-A lettering.
Took awhile to get all the goo off, but while they were off I didn't notice any outline at all...and my CL sits outside 365 days a year.
