with my exhaust, it makes it hard to drive in 4th and not notice it when my music is chill, but yeah i know what you mean. if im in shitty traffic, or just a lot of congestion thats moving along at 60 mph, most of the time ill keep it in 4th gear, right around 3 grand. i cant imagine an H tranny on our cars

ill tell you one thing though, im getting pretty tired of the godamn mile my arm has to move everytime i shift. i drove my buddies 04 worked wrx with a full jdm gear swap and short throw sti shifter.. it was like, an inch and a half a throw, seriously spoiled me.

fixed haha.
i wanted an automatic after having my integra. my dad said no ( knowing about trannys )
so i spent 3 months looking before i found mine.
ill never go automatic again. i have an opinion on it.
I think im a good driver, compared to my friends. And i think its because they all sit back and just press go. driving is too easy with an automatic.
i think driving a 5 speed makes it so you have to pay attention while you drive. And driving a lowered car really has made it so im paying full attention all the time

Yes, it was on a ridiculously empty highway. No need to bitch at me cuz honestly i really don't care, i don't speed on a regular basis.
Funny thing is, i still lost the race lol.

my 2.3 definetly doesnt have OD that i can switch on or off. it most manual cars, 5th gear IS considered over drive.
normally, a transmission, auto or manual is designed that the highest gear causes the output shaft to rotate at the same speed as the engine. If if the output shaft rotates FASTER than the input speed (@the clutch or torque converter), the transmission is designed with overdrive gearing , usually the hightest gear of an auto box and sometimes the top two gears of a manual transmission. In the past, an OVERDRIVE unit was a two speed attachment to the output shaft of the transmission that was engaged by an electric clutch after it was in the highest gear to decrease engine RPM for higher cruising speed and better gas milage.

im pretty sure honda/acura has been using manual with O/D for quite some time.

See now finding out 135 is the top for the 3.0, now I feel I have to try to beat that. I did 135 with my 3.0 and just happened to let off. I'd swear it would have gone faster.
Ok everyone with a 3.0 go try to beat 135 today and those of us that survived and/or did not kill others come back with some data.
ok even if you killed someone tell us, so then we know if the car has a tendency to kill at 135+

no.. im pretty sure its cause i dont wanna live there. not fond of snow and really hate cold weather. have fun in the winter when u have to lock your cars away or switch to snow tires or coat the bottom of ur cars because the salt on the road eats away at your undercarriage

They probably just tried to think of a way to make sparks that was as easy as possible to implement. Oh I know cut out the bottom of the car and make a plate that falls out :P

When I was a kid my parents had an old beater dodge omni they drove for a while back in the day. I remember sitting in the back seat and seeing the road moving under me. There was like a 2-3inch hole you could see through.
